In the section of the magazine “Stay young & healthy with WW (Woman’s World),” this article describes

Ms. Castro refers to research which demonstrates that taking Hyaluronic acid for four months boosts collagen production almost three-fold, resulting in firmer, smoother more youthful-looking skin.  Because Hyaluronic acid can hold up to 1000 times its own weight in moisture, it erases fine lines, wrinkles and even crow’s feet within months. 

Another researcher reports that boosting Hyaluronic acid levels by taking 140 mg per day will erase even thick, red, keloid scars by at least 50% in four months.  HA can make old acne scars disappear in as little as three months, they report. 

Injecting Hyaluronic acid into joints to ease joint pain is an FDA approved procedure for medical doctors to perform.  This works by rebuilding the pillow of fluid that cushions joints.  Ms. Castro reports that taking HA orally can effect the same result by taking as little as 200 mg daily.  This is reported to work for 97% of people who try it for several months. 

It would be reassuring to see the size and scope of the studies these claims refer to.  However, it is great to see that so many people are obtaining such great benefits from taking Hyaluronic acid.
